Effective and lasting social and community development

CLAN (City Literacy and Numeracy)

What does CLAN do?

Would you or someone you know like to improve their reading, writing and or numbers skills? CLAN groups are small and friendly and you can work at your own pace on something that interests you. You can work with pen and paper or learn new skills on the computer.
We also run ESOL (English for speakers of other languages) groups for adults whose first language is not English.

All groups are free.

CLAN learners can also choose to take SQA qualifications up to Intermediate 1 level.

As well as our regular literacies groups, we run short courses, which include:

  • A Business Startup course
  • Childcare ESOL Literacies
  • Computing
  • The Park Project in partnership with the Holyrood Rangers

If you are interested please contact Joanna at joannap@eus.org.uk or Kerry at kerrym@eus.org.uk or telephone 0131 550 6801.
