Camp for Nonviolence, November 2008, Bethlehem, Palestine

Edinburgh University Settlement Student Volunteer Centre is a partner in the Camp for Non-Violence. This camp will be part of Holy Land Trust youth advocacy program for nonviolence and will be held with the aim of empowering international young people (between 20 - 30 years old) to organize non-violently on issues relevant to them and thus increase their active citizenship. The Camp for Nonviolence will offer ten days of training in strategic nonviolence and organizing skills in addition to other entertainment activities. It will be held from November 1 – 10th 2008 in a rural area outside of Bethlehem.

Community Link European Voluntary Service Volunteers News

A volunteer is in Nablus, Palestine right now on an EVS placement with Project Hope. All’s going well and she is working in refugee camps around the city teaching English and art classes. Another 2 project’s have been approved and the volunteers are in the process of getting ready to go.
